Mayco SP-253 Speckled Purple Haze glaze gives a cold, lavender color with black specks when fired at a low temperatures. With the increase of firing temperature the glaze becomes blueish and semi-transparent while specks become bigger and turn into dark blue spots. Glazes from the Mayco Speckled Stroke & Coat series are stable, glossy and highly pigmented, giving vivid, opaque colors when applied in 2-3 layers. They can be applied on leather-hard clay, bisque or stoneware-fired clay.
