Mayco UG-208 Dragon Red underglaze gives an intensive red color when fired at low temperatures, which darkens as the firing temperature increases. The color becomes brighter on reduction firing. To obtain full coverage, apply 2-3 layers of the underglaze. For watercolor effect dilute the underglaze with water. The use of transparent, matte or glossy glaze will intensify the color. The firing temperature of Mayco Fundamentals underglazes ranges from 1000°C to 1300°C, however, the colors may change as the firing temperature increases.
