Mayco SW-174 Leather high-fire glaze creates a satin, brown surface with black and gray tints. In reduction firing, as the temperature increases, the color of the glaze becomes more uniform, gray-brown. The glazes from the Mayco Stoneware series are designed for firing in the temperature range of 1200-1300°C, in both oxidation and reduction atmospheres. Stir them well before use and apply on bisque in layers with a brush. The final appearance of the glaze will depend on the clay body used, the number of layers and the firing curve.
