Mayco SP-274 Speckled Hot Tamale glaze gives a red color with white specks when fired at a low temperatures. With the increase of firing temperature the glaze color becomes fuller and specks turn to lighter spots. Glazes from the Mayco Speckled Stroke & Coat series are stable, glossy and highly pigmented, giving vivid, opaque colors when applied in 2-3 layers. They can be applied on leather-hard clay, bisque or stoneware-fired clay.
