Mayco S-2731 Kaboom ceramic glaze

Mayco S-2731 Kaboom is an opaque white base glaze with red and blue crystals that bloom. Mayco Jungle Gems ceramic glazes are designed to mature at 1050°C, though they can also be fired at higher temperatures. For the best results, apply two to three even coats to bisque using a fan brush, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next. Before use, shake the jar well and stir the glaze frequently, as the crystals naturally settle at the bottom. During the final coat, it may be necessary to redistribute the crystals to ensure an even effect. The placement of the crystals determines where they will bloom during firing, creating a beautiful and unique decorative finish.
